CROATIA CRUISE POEM ?!?

Our cruise on deluxe vessel Futura was so good it inspired our guests to make a poem about it! Thank you for this wonderful letter, and it goes like this:

Hail Croatia and Sail Futura!

Time is fleeting,
So was our short meeting,
We wish it was longer,
Wish we had more time to spend with each other.
But we did have a great time,
We had a ball, the whole trip,
Not just the last night.


What spectacular scenery!
Crystal clear lakes surrounded by mountains.
We drank water from gargoyle fountains.
We swam in deep, blue and clear waters.
Got away from daily drudgery and boring routine,
And far from the maddening city crowd,
To places full of sunshine and not a hint of cloud,
We trekked through marble roads to monasteries,
We tasted fresh caught fish, ice cream and European pastries,
We relished daily, our great chef’s excellent cuisine.
Gained a great deal of knowledge of Croatian history,
Shopped for lace and jewellery in all its finery,
Read a good book in a shady nook,
Or lazed away the whole afternoon, in golden sunshine.
Slept to the lullaby of gentle waves and the sway of our boat,
Visited donkey farms and admired bearded goats.
Spent time in the company of lovely ladies.
We have nothing to regret,
But have a lot of sweet memories, we will never forget.

A wise man once said,
“If you waste time regretting the past and worrying about the future,
When do you have time to enjoy the present?”
So, instead of regrets and wishes about what we did not do,
Let us be thankful for what we did do!
Let us all keep in touch.
